IMI Orton – Whistleblowing
The dedicated IMI Orton manufacturing site in Piacenza, Italy, has established an autonomous reporting channel that guarantees the anonymity of whistleblower reports. This channel ensures that reports can be submitted in various written, oral, and multilingual formats. Through this channel, reports are directed to the Whistleblowing Committee, which is responsible for the investigation and decision-making phases.
Key features of the reporting process include:
- Confidentiality: The channel guarantees the confidentiality of the whistleblower, any intermediaries, the persons involved, or anyone mentioned in the report, as well as the content of the report and its related documentation.
- Reporting Options:
- In Writing: Reports can be submitted electronically via the Navex online platform. The platform provides two distinct reporting channels: a local one and another for the IMI Group.
- Orally: Reports can be made via a telephone line activated on the Navex platform, managed by NAVEX Global, Inc. (“Navex”), or alternatively, through a voice messaging system available on the platform.
- Face-to-Face: At the request of the reporting person, a face-to-face meeting with a member of the Whistleblowing Committee can be arranged within a reasonable time frame.
- Anonymous Reporting: The Navex platform allows whistleblowers to submit reports anonymously. Anonymous reports are treated with the same level of seriousness and consideration as reports submitted without anonymity.
The Whistleblowing Committee operates with full autonomy and does not require prior authorisation to request documents, conduct interviews, or carry out on-site inspections in connection with the investigation of reports received.
If a report concerns a member of the Whistleblowing Committee, the Navex platform ensures that the report is not automatically made available to that individual.
Whistleblowers are encouraged to use internal reporting channels to report potential wrongdoing in the first instance, provided they believe the matter can be effectively addressed within the organisation and that there is no risk of retaliation.
