IMI’s office in Singapore is officially a Great Place to Work

We’re thrilled to announce that in May 2025, IMI’s Singapore office was officially certified as a Great Place to Work®.

A prestigious recognition that reflects the strength of our workplace culture and the trust our employees place in us. Even more exciting is that this was our first time applying for the award, and we’re pleased to have achieved this milestone so quickly.

What is the Great Place to Work certification

The Great Place to Work® certification is awarded to organisations that meet rigorous employee satisfaction and workplace excellence standards. It’s based entirely on what employees say about their experience, measured through the Trust Index™ survey, an internationally recognised benchmark of workplace culture.

Companies must achieve a minimum Trust Index™ score of 65% to be certified. We successfully passed this threshold with an 86% score, placing us in the second-highest quartile among companies surveyed in the ‘Small’ category in 2024.

What our people say

Our colleagues in Singapore enjoy working at IMI. Eighty-six per cent of our team agreed that ‘Considering everything, this is a great place to work’, which means that more than 8 out of 10 employees appreciate the strength of our workplace culture. We achieved a 100% response rate because we believe in engaging our people in shaping our shared future.

As Esther Er, IMI Singapore’s Senior People and Communication Manager, noted.

“We are proud to be officially certified as a Great Place to Work® in Singapore, especially as this is our first application for the award. Recognition like this reflects the trust, pride, and camaraderie our people experience daily. It directly results from their voices of approval, feedback, and unwavering commitment to our shared culture. With an outstanding 86% Trust Index™ score and 100% employee response rate, we thank every team member for making IMI Singapore a place where people truly want to work, grow, and thrive.”

A culture rooted in trust

The Great Place to Work® model evaluates five key dimensions of workplace culture. Our scores across these dimensions ranged from 82% to 88%, with standout strengths in Justice (under the Fairness category) and Intimacy (under Camaraderie).

These results reflect a workplace where people feel safe, respected, and genuinely connected.

The five categories are:

  • Credibility: Management communication, competence, and integrity.
  • Respect: Support, collaboration, and care from leadership.
  • Fairness: Equity, impartiality, and justice in decision-making.
  • Pride: How employees feel about their work and the organisation.
  • Camaraderie: Sense of community, trust, and enjoyment among colleagues.

What this certification means to us

This certification is more than a milestone for IMI. It reflects the Singapore team’s relentless efforts to foster a daily culture of inclusion and diversity. It validates the trust, collaboration, and care that define our ‘One Big Team’. And it also strengthens our position as an employer of choice in Singapore’s competitive talent landscape, not to mention our reputation with customers and investors.

A collaborative achievement

We couldn’t have achieved this without the voices, feedback, and dedication of our people. This milestone belongs to every team member who contributes to making IMI Singapore a place where people feel safe, proud to work, supported to grow, and inspired to thrive.

Here’s to continuing our journey as a truly great place to work.
